Lauren is our current administrator at LPCNS. She has a B.A. in Psychology from The Ohio State University, and a Masters of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education from National Louis University in Chicago. She is a former 3rd grade and Title I teacher, and taught in the West Park neighborhood of Cleveland. Lauren lives in the Edgewater neighborhood of Cleveland with her husband and two sons. Her oldest son, Max, attends LPCNS. Mom was so impressed with his experience that she decided to join the team! When she's not busy working or parenting, Lauren loves to garden (she is regularly tending to her Monarch Butterfly Waystation), drink coffee, read, and travel. She has been to 18 countries!
Joyce is the assistant teacher in both the 3-year old and AM PreK classes, and has been at LPCNS for over 20 years. She and her husband, Michael, have resided in Lakewood for the past 31 years. They have 3 sons, (all LPCNS alumni!) Gabe, 31, Pete, 28, and Joe, 24. Gabe is married and has two children, Sophia and Noah. Peter is married and lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Joe is married and lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has also served on our nursery school board and has been a part of many past nursery school activities.
Alanna is the lead teacher of our AM PreK class and the newest addition to the LPCNS teaching staff. She lives in Lakewood with her husband, and three kids, Ari, Magnolia, and Crosby. Alanna fell in love with the school while her son, Ari, was in the 3s classroom last year. She graduated with an accounting degree from Miami University and then went back to school a few years later and graduated with a Masters in Early Childhood Education from John Carroll University. Alanna was a substitute teacher and worked in a pre-k classroom before her twins were born. She is excited to be back in the classroom this year! You can find her biking around Lakewood with her family, visiting the beach and trying new restaurants around town!
Alex is the lead teacher of our 3 year old program and has a B.A. from Denison University. She has volunteered at LPCNS, is part of the Roosevelt Elementary PTA and served on the board for the Board for the Lakewood Early Childhood PTA. She has been a stay-at-home mom to two former LPCNS students, Louie and Jojo. Alex has lived in Lakewood with her husband and 2 cats for the past 15 years and is so excited to join the LPCNS teaching family. Her favorite things besides family time are yoga, traveling, art and nature.
Rozy is the lead teacher in the Afternoon Pre-K class. She has lived in Lakewood all her life along with her husband, Jordan, who grew up one block away. She has 3 kids, Vada, Enzo and Renae, all of whom attended LPCNS. Her children follow in her her footsteps as Rozy attended LPCNS from 1984-1987! Rozy has a degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashland University. She spent time subbing for Lakewood CIty Schools before working as a Head Start lead teacher. Becoming a mother herself gave her a new lens to see her students through. She is beyond excited to be back "home" where she began and give back to the future generation the love and support she experienced firsthand. If she can find the time, Rozy likes to hike, run, play piano and refinish tree lawn furniture finds.
